letters from inmates

"All the books I've read have uplifted my spirit, they have changed my life. I now know what it means to have fellowship with God." (Male prisoner April'09)

"By God's grace I am leaving here (prison) in two weeks. I will be leaving without any regret because what I have learned during my time here I could not have learned throughout my whole life. Your books have taught me so many things that I didn't know since I because a Christian and many other things I had been using wrongly. For example, before I used to blame my enemies for any unpleasant situation. As a result I would pray and ask God to kill or destroy my enemies. But now I have learned not only to love my enemies but moreover to bless them. Now I know that one can be tempted but have the right to choose not to sin. I have learned how to grow through temptation and to remain calm in the storm. Before I used to panic and worry once things were not going my way, but now I know that the deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thanking Him during a trial, trusting Him when tempted, surrendering while suffering and loving Him when He seems distant. At this point words are not enough for me to explain to you what I have acquired from reading your books. I don't know how to express my thanks and appreciation. I pray that God will reward you accordingly. " (Male prisoner April'09)

"Thank you for everything you've done for me over the last few years. Thank you for all the wonderful gifts of books and CDs. Thank you also for all the prayers." (Female prisoner)

"I had the great fortune of being lent two of your CDs and they are an inspiration. I am a young Christian and I'm hungry for more." (Male prisoner)

Translated from French "I received your letter with immense joy and knowledge that I am part of a big family in Christ. It was wonderful to receive books in my own language because my English is not good enough yet, thank you so much." (French speaking male prisoner)
